BIO

Isyqie began her legal career as a pupil in the Litigation Practice Group of Messrs Zul Rafique & Partners, where she was actively involved in commercial and general litigation. Her work encompassed cases involving complex legal questions, including the constitutionality of a State Enactment, the interpretation of the then newly-updated Companies Act 2016, and tortious claims against prominent statutory bodies.

She then joined Messrs Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, specializing in employment law and industrial relations. During this time, she honed her skills as a trial lawyer, representing clients in unlawful dismissal claims arising from misconduct, poor performance, and retrenchment exercises. She also regularly appeared in judicial review proceedings at the High Court, strengthening her expertise in employment-related disputes.

Beyond the legal realm, Isyqie expanded her professional portfolio by serving as a Creative Director for a renowned local jewellery brand. In this role, she spearheaded branding strategies, market positioning, and business growth initiatives, demonstrating her strong commercial insight. Her leadership abilities led to her appointment as a Director of the same company, where she was instrumental in strategic decision-making, corporate governance, and operational management. This first-hand exposure to business operations has given her a unique perspective in advising corporate clients, bridging the gap between legal considerations and commercial realities.

At HAP, Isyqie leads the Industrial Relations Department, providing strategic counsel on employment and HR-related matters, whether contentious or advisory. She has also successfully represented clients in a range of disputes, including construction disputes, tenancy disagreements, tortious claims, and debt recovery actions. Her dual expertise in law and business allows her to offer pragmatic, solution-driven advice, making her a trusted ally for companies navigating legal and operational challenges.
